This scene of the Battle of Almansa shows the onslaught between the two opposing forces. The French and Spanish army, under the command of the Duke of Berwick, inflicted a devastating defeat on the allies on 25 April 1707, marking the beginning of the end of the allied cause. Two months later, the privileges of the Kingdom of Valencia were rescinded.
